Audit and diagnosis of 26 drinking water facilities, boreholes or wells
Context and issues
In an area particularly exposed to water stress, guaranteeing the sustainability of drinking water resources is an absolute priority. This is the context in which imaGeau worked on behalf of the SAUR group, which delegates the public water service for the Gard Rhodanien conurbation community (main town: Bagnols-sur-Cèze).
The aim is to
The assignment :
– Audit and in-depth structural diagnosis of water catchments
– Diagnosis of 26 drinking water facilities, boreholes or wells
– Works 8 to 260 metres deep
One of our hydrogeologists visited each site for a technical visit, followed by specific interventions, sometimes accompanied by a partner depending on the context:
– Removal of pumping equipment
– Video inspection by camera
– Replacing the pumps
– Drafting of interpretation reports
– Formulation of technical and strategic recommendations
The Imageau solution
Results and recommendations
The analysis revealed that several structures had exceeded their functional life, with signs of advanced deterioration. The risk? A sudden breakdown in service, and therefore an inability to supply drinking water.
imaGeau’s recommendations aim to :
- Prioritise rehabilitation work and works at risk
- Implement a medium-term renewal strategy
- Anticipate future needs in a context of increasing pressure on resources.
Outlook for 2025
On the strength of the success of this first phase, the assignment will be repeated in 2025, with the in-depth diagnosis of 7 additional boreholes.
imaGeau’s expertise illustrated by this project
- Cutting-edge hydrogeological expertise in the diagnosis of water catchment structures
- A rigorous field approach, combined with detailed technical analysis
- A strategic vision of long-term resource management
